A Delectable Summer Dessert: Avocado Chocolate Mousse
I am always looking for quick, easy, and delicious recipes. This one is perfect for summer entertaining, so I thought I’d share it with you all as everyone gears up for summer break.
Chocolate mousse feels decadent and sophisticated. It is served cold, making it both a refreshing dessert on a hot summer night and perfect for entertaining because you make it ahead and simply pull it out of the refrigerator to serve.
Ingredients:
3 avocadoes
½ c. cocoa powder, unsweetened
¾ c. maple (or agave) syrup
sea salt
Directions:
Blend flesh from avocados, cocoa powder, and maple syrup in a blender or food processor until very creamy.
Pour into individual small cups or bowls.
Chill 1 hour or more.
Sprinkle with sea salt and top with a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
